Martin Burkhardt represents clients before international arbitration tribunals and state courts. He is also appointed as arbitrator in international commercial disputes, serving as chairman, sole arbitrator and party-nominated arbitrator. He heads the litigation group of Lenz & Staehelin's Zurich office.
Martin graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 1988 and obtained an LLM from the University of California Berkeley Law School in 1991. He was admitted to practise in New York (1991) and Switzerland (1992) and completed his doctoral thesis at the St. Gallen University in 1996. Martin has been a partner at Lenz & Staehelin since 2000. He speaks German, English and French.
