Nathalie Voser is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's dispute resolution group in Zurich and co-head of its international arbitration group.

Nathalie Voser regularly acts as counsel in court proceedings and arbitration cases. She has extensive experience in the representation of parties in international arbitration and has particular expertise in disputes relating to M&A and joint ventures, construction and civil engineering projects, international commodity sales and licence agreements, and the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to acting as counsel, she is also regularly appointed as arbitrator (co-arbitrator or chairperson) under various institutional arbitration rules and in ad-hoc arbitrations. With regard to court proceedings she has particular experience in the representation of parties in complex multi-jurisdictional tort litigation. Her areas of specialisation include general contract law, tort law, restitution, private international law (conflict-of-law) and international procedural law, such as jurisdictional questions, (pre-trial) attachment and recognition of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

Nathalie Voser was admitted to the Bar in Switzerland in 1990, after graduating from the University of Basel where she obtained her law degree (summa cum laude) in 1988. After a doctoral dissertation in the area of private international law (summa cum laude), she received an LLM from Columbia University (New York) with honours in 1994. She was raised bilingual in French and German, is equally fluent in English and has a good working knowledge of Italian.

Nathalie Voser also has a strong academic background. Since 1999, she has regularly taught courses on conflicts of law and the Swiss code of obligations. In 2005, she obtained a venia docendi in Swiss private law, international private law and comparative law from the University of Basel, where she is an assistant professor. Among other subjects, she teaches international arbitration in the MA programme at the University of Basel.

Articles recently published by Nathalie Voser focus on international commercial arbitration dealing with matters such as provisional measures and multi-party arbitration and certain areas of Swiss and comparative substantive law. She has given numerous presentations in these areas in Europe and the US. Nathalie Voser has also co-authored a textbook on international arbitration in Switzerland.
