Pat Razzano has 40 years' experience as principal trial counsel in both jury and non-jury patent, trade mark, copyright and trade secret cases. His trial experience includes mechanical, electrical, chemical, and ANDA patent cases, and he has represented clients in state and federal trial courts, at the International Trade Commission and in commercial arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce and the AAA. He has also been lead counsel in many federal appeals cases in the Federal, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 9th Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Pat has an extensive practice in patent and trade mark counselling and licensing and is responsible for supervising the patent and trade mark portfolios and prosecution of several large corporations.

He was selected as a top intellectual property law practitioner in each edition of the Best Lawyers in America since 1995 and was named the Best Lawyers 2012 New York City Litigation – Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year. He has also been recognised in Legal Media Group's Guide to the World's Leading Trade mark Law Practitioners and Guide to the World's Leading Patent Law Experts. His biography appears in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, the International Who's Who of Trademark Lawyers and the International Who's Who of Patent Lawyers. He is also listed as a litigation star in Benchmark: The Definitive Guide to America's Litigation Firms & Attorneys for 2011 and 2012 and was named as a top New York Intellectual Property Litigator in the 2006-2011 editions of New York Super Lawyers Metro Edition. He was recognized in the 2011 edition of World Trademark Review 1000 as "a very capable litigator."

Pat has been a guest lecturer at New York University School of Law, New York Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law Association, the US Trademark Association and The American Bar Association.

Pat holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center (1969) and a BSCE from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn (1964). He is admitted to practise in the State of New York (1970) and the State of Virginia (1969); and before the US District Courts of New York, Connecticut, Texas and Hawaii; US Circuit Courts of Appeal, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, Federal; US Supreme Court; and US Patent and Trademark Office.

He is a member of the American Bar Association; New York Bar Association; Virginia Bar Association; the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the New York Intellectual Property Association, of which he is past president. He is former editor-in-chief of The Trademark Reporter, a former member of the board of directors of the International Trademark Association; and former director of the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
